The Bangor Daily News welcomes letters from readers. Letters should be no more than 250 words, and may be edited or rejected for clarity, taste, libel and space. Op Ed commentary usually runs 600 to 700 words. If a letter or Op Ed is published, submissions by the same writer will not be considered for 60 days. We apologize for being unable to respond to queries. You may provide your input electronically here on our web page.
The public is invited to a meeting of the editorial board held each Thursday from 12:30 to 1 p.m. in the fourth-floor editorial office at 390 Congress St.,Portland.
Letters to the editor should be exclusive to this paper, contain 250 words or less and include the writer's name, address and home and work phone numbers. Readers will be contacted before their letters are published. Readers not contacted within 10 days can assume their letters will not be published. To submit letters:

Maine Voices columns for the Forum page should be 600 to 650 words in length, be exclusive to this paper, contain the name, address and daytime phone number of the author, and be sent via e-mail to mainevoices@pressherald.com as text, not as an attachment. Columns may be published online.
